Ship vetting is a risk-based marine assurance process used by charterers, cargo interests, terminal operators, ship managers and other stakeholders to evaluate whether a vessel and its operator meet defined safety, technical, operational and commercial expectations.
This Ship Vetting Inspector / Vetting Inspection Awareness training course by LMA develops a structured understanding of ship vetting, inspection preparation, onboard inspection techniques, evidence evaluation, human factors, reporting, corrective action and continuous improvement. It is designed for personnel who conduct internal or company vetting activities as well as those who need to understand how external vetting inspections are planned and evaluated.
This course is an awareness and competence-development programme. It does not confer OCIMF SIRE Inspector accreditation, CDI inspector accreditation, or authorisation to inspect on behalf of any third-party vetting organisation.
