Oil and Gas Contracts Training course in London

The global oil and gas industry relies on a sophisticated network of commercial agreements that govern every stage of the energy supply chain, from exploration and production to transportation, storage, shipping, and final delivery to consumers. Within the maritime sector, these contracts play a critical role in allocating responsibilities, managing risks, facilitating investments, and ensuring the efficient movement of hydrocarbons across international markets.

Oil and gas projects are characterised by significant capital investments, operational complexity, regulatory oversight, and exposure to commercial, geopolitical, and market uncertainties. Consequently, contracts serve as more than legal instruments; they provide the framework through which commercial relationships, project governance, operational obligations, and financial outcomes are managed.

The Oil & Gas Contracts programme by LMA provides participants with a practical understanding of contract structures across the energy value chain, with particular emphasis on transportation, logistics, commercial operations, and maritime considerations. Through industry examples, case discussions, and practical exercises, participants will develop the ability to evaluate contractual provisions, understand risk allocation mechanisms, and align commercial objectives with operational requirements.
