Incident Command System (ICS-200)

Effective incident management requires personnel to apply command principles, coordinate operations, manage resources, and support timely decisions during evolving emergencies. LMA’s Incident Command System (ICS-200) programme builds on ICS-100 by developing participants’ ability to operate effectively within an ICS structure.

The course covers leadership, operational coordination, resource management, incident planning, and the management of initial and expanding response operations. Maritime applications include oil spills, vessel casualties, offshore releases, port emergencies, and coastal pollution incidents.

The programme strengthens coordination, communication, planning, and response effectiveness among participating organisations, supporting internationally recognised preparedness principles and the objectives of the international OPRC 1990 Convention.
